You're description...I love you so much for it. FINALLY someone else understands that Kurama doesn't have multiple personality disorder.

As far as I know, in the manga, Kurama actually has black hair. It was the anime that gave him completely red hair. I got this off of the colored pages in the manga, by the way: The blood was red, so I knew they had paint, but his hair was still black. So, as far as I know, this information is cannon, making your art legitimately anime-cannon, and only 1/2 manga-cannon (because Shuiichi and Kurama BOTH have black hair).
And can understand why - from your point of view - you gave Shuiichi black hair. My question then becomes, though: Why doesn't Shuiichi have long hair like Kurama? If Kurama alone possesses the red hair and green eyes, the color change makes sense, but either way, they still live in the same body, and it's not like there are no Japanese men with long hair. Just curious.
Whatever the comments I have, though, your art is still totally cool! I love this piece especially! XD <3

I have to agree with you one this. i think the only reason Kurama refers to 'youko' as such is more a notice on how different he has become then who he used to be, and how his life has changed since taking refuage in his mother's womb. He talks like there are two of them, because to him they are very different people, but at the same time they are one and the same.
I also heard, though I am not 100% certain, that Kurama only took refuage in Shirzo's (I think that's her name) womb because the child inside it was either dying or already dead. I could swear that he talks about the child he took over being still born at one point in the anime.

Kurama's fetus's gender was female but the possession Of Youko made her in to a him. thats why he's so feminine. not only was it mention in the series i have a book called Yu yu hakusho uncovered. but I have to agree with you that kurama would look normal if not been possessed.

I don't recall that ever being mentioned in the series, actually. And if it was mentioned in the english subs... I wouldn't take it too seriously. The amount of material they make up is unbelievable. Dx
I HAD heard of that, but as far as I know, that was a mere fan-theory. One which sounds very ridiculous to me. xD I really won't believe it until I own the book you mention, I guess.

I think it's silly. xD I HAD heard that theory before, and many people claimed it's true... at the same time, I researched, and there's no such info. Several other people way more obsessed also say this is all fan-made -- If the info book you have is fan-made, even if they say it's official, it's probably not.
I'm not sure what you meant with the last thing, though. xD I'm assuming "why didn't Kurama look more like youko [the hair, the eyes], and more like a normal fox [red hair, as red fur on normal foxes]?"
I think that one's pretty logic, actually! Well, once you know japanese legends. In the past, when a child was born with clear hair (blonde or red, but specially red), or clear eyes, it was believed that the child was born possessed. I think it would be pretty neat if this was the real reason. xD I don't know if it was the reason Toshihiro made Kurama have red hair or not, but I thought it made sense (and was a bit ironic).

The explanation makes tons of sense, more so than anything else I've heard. I really like the two different aspects of Kurama that make up his overall being. The art is great, as well - I don't mean for it to sound as if the explanations overshadows your artwork, because it doesn't. They're both as equally as awesome.

Actually, I believe you're right.
It never really says Youko is talking to him or anything...they are just one person.
I like the way you did this drawing...very original~!
If you think about it, it makes more sense and, to me, is a lot less confusing than what we all originally thought.
Awesome job~!

Yah. xD I once did hear that light-colored hair or eyes were once considered actual signs of demonic possession. But I bet Yoshihiro Togashi just wanted to get him fangirls. Lots and lots of fangirls. ^^ and fanboys too.
