Ahh it means so much, this picture, from the feeling and words with which the paints were given to me, to the feeling of the image when it came to me, than the drawing process and finally the small symbolic elements, like onnagata, butterflies, color-scheme...
I hope it is a year of many wonders^^! And all the preparatory stages I took and went through will also bring the fruit.

Butterflies are great. There is a certain strength in them. if one is a flicker of beauty, short lived and fragile, yet never ending multitude of them is a mediator of the world's beauty.
I hope this world will bring a lot of shiny fluttering moments, of love and hope for all of us^^ <3

I ADORE the colours in this. Their union is vague but enforced by the lines of the character's face- and what an expression! The eyes, the parted lips... there's hope, there's some kind of consideration, acceptance... and wonder. The butterflies give a lovely ethereal touch to it- ah, and that gown he's wearing... you're always so good with clothes.
I hope the new year brings you inspiration

thank you, darling, yeah the color-scheme was the first that I saw in my minds eye, and then I started to invent the form for it. Butterflies, then onnagata than the whole thing.
Oh, I so suck with folds.. I need to learn to draw passable clothes.. TRAINING TRAINING!
