Description
The last moveset of April has arrived at long last and it may be worth it all in the end.
As you can see, the 28:th character to join XELAWL Megamixer 23, is Meicoomon. The adorable digital cat that was requested by Wizbenorno . I really hope that this moveset will do her the justice that she deserves. Though will it be enough to make her come out on top in this game? Let us find out!
Here is the moveset in detail:
STANDARD B: Saltation / Digivolve / Cursed Claw
Meicoomon sighs, looks towards the ground and slowly becomes depressed. If she gets attacked while she is in this state, then the attack will get cancelled and she will receive the intended damage and knockback from the attack she was hit by. Then she must wait six seconds before she can try performing this move again. However, if she is allowed to remain still for three seconds. Then a blast of purple electric sparks will shoot out of her body. All the while she shouts: “MEI!” If an opponent gets near the sparks while she is shouting, then that opponent will receive as much damage and knockback as Pikachu’s Thunder. After two more seconds, the purple sparks will stop shooting out of her as Meicoomon emerges in her “Saltation-form”. She will then growl at the opponent(s) and allow the player to control her again. In this form, all of Meicoomon’s attacks (non-specials and specials alike) becomes faster and stronger. With some of them even receiving more vicious animations. However, she also becomes a larger target and takes 7 % more damage from all attacks that she gets hit by. If Meicoomon loses a stock while she is in her “Saltation-form”, then she will revert back to her regular form and must wait ten seconds before she can change form again. Otherwise Meicoomon will remain in her “saltation-form” for the rest of the battle. Unless the player performs her Standard B again.
If the player does that, then Meicoomon will take a deep breath and get surrounded by light. If the opponent(s) attacks her just before she is surrounded by light. Then the move will get cancelled and she will take the intended damage (adjusted for her “saltation-form”) and knockback. Then she must wait six seconds before she can perform this move again. But once she is surrounded by the light, she will become immune to all attacks for three seconds. After those have passed, the light will solidify into a crystal, which then shatters and reveals Meicrackmon VM (Vicious Mode). She will growl loudly and land on the ground in a vicious manner. In this form, she is as tall as Ganondorf but as fast as Fox. All of her non-special moves and Special Moves have been replaced (instead of altered like with Meicoomon’s “saltation-form”). With her non-special moves in particular being even more violent than ever before. However, the damage and knockback from all attacks she gets hit by will get increased even further. If Meicrackmon VM loses a stock, then she will revert back to Meicoomon’s “Saltation Form”. Otherwise she will remain as Meicrackmon VM for the rest of the battle.
If Meicrackmon VM performs her Standard B yet again. Then she will perform two kicks towards the direction that she is facing that each have the same reach as Byleth’s Down B. If these kicks misses an opponent, then Meicrackmon VM will return back to her normal fighting-stance and get frustrated in herself. Then she must wait four seconds before she can perform this move again. But if the kicks lands on an opponent, then that opponent will get stuck as it receives 6 % damage from each kick. Then Meicrackmon VM will perform a powerful slash-attack that sends three waves of energy towards the opponent (just like in the bottom-left picture). These energy-waves both looks and acts just like Cloud’s Standard B when he has limit. While also dealing the same amount of knockback along with 7 % damage. If Meicrackmon VM gets attacked from behind while she is performing this move, then the attack will either get cancelled if the kicks missed an opponent or she will receive the intended damage while still performing the slash-attack (if the kicks hit an opponent). After she has successfully performed this move, she will quickly lick her claws and return back to her normal fighting-stance. Then she must wait six seconds before she can perform this move again. Otherwise she will groan in frustration over the fact that she can’t use the move yet.
SIDE B: Trichobezoar / Berserk Thinking
Meicoomon feels like something is stuck in her throat, then she leans forwards and spits out a hairball towards the direction she is facing. This hairball will fly as fast as the seeds that Annoying Orange spits out in YTPGuy17’s Lawl and as far as Link’s Boomerang. After she has spit out the hairball, she will cough for a moment and then return back to her normal fighting-stance. If an opponent gets hit by the hairball, then it will receive 6 % damage and a small amount of knockback. If Meicoomon gets attacked while she is performing this move, then she will receive the intended damage and knockback of the move that she was hit by. Regardless if she was able to spit out the hairball or not, she must wait four seconds before she can perform this move again.
If Meicoomon performed this move in her “Saltation Form”, then the hairball will be surrounded by black sparks as it flies forwards. The speed and distance it will travel will both be increased by 50 % and when it hits an opponent. The hairball will deal 10 % damage and stun the opponent for one second before receiving the knockback. Which is the same as the regular version of this move. The general animation of Meicoomon “Saltation Form” spitting out the hairball is the same as the regular version. Except that she groans instead of coughing after spitting it out. If she gets attacked while performing this variant of the move, then she will take the intended damage and knockback (along with the adjustments that comes along with her being in her “Saltation Form”). The amount of time she must wait before she can use this move again is also the same as the regular version (four seconds).
If Meicrackmon VM performed this move, then it will turn into a completely different attack. In which she performs a backflip, then after she lands on the ground. She will dash forwards at light speed and attack with a powerful slash with her claws. Then after she performed this attack, she will stand up and return to her regular fighting-stance. If she successfully hit an opponent, she will have a smirk on her face otherwise she will just look normal. The distance that she dashes forwards is just as long as the Falcon Kick and the slash-attack can almost deal as much damage and knockback as Ganondorf’s forwards Smash-attack. If she gets hit by traps and/or projectiles while she dashes forwards, then she will rush through them while still taking the damage from them. But they are adjusted based on how much they would deal normally, without the adjustments that affects Meicrackmon VM in general. However, if she gets attacked while she performed the initial backflip. Then she will take the intended damage and knockback from that attack (adjustments and all). If she does not land on solid ground after performing the backflip, then she will fall downwards in a helpless state. Regardless if she was allowed to fully perform this move or not and regardless if it hit an opponent or not. She must wait eight seconds before she can perform this move again. Otherwise she will just perform the backflip but no attack afterwards.
UP B: X-Scratch / Felt Made
Meicoomon meows and jumps upwards a distance similar to Luigi’s Up B while the speed is more like Mario’s (when does not connect to an opponent). Then she slashes with her claws in the form of an X. After performing the attack, Meicoomon will fall downwards in a helpless state. If an opponent gets hit by her claws, then that opponent will receive 8 % damage and a moderate amount of knockback. If she gets attacked while he is performing this move, then she will take the intended damage and knockback. After she has performed this move (regardless if it hit an opponent or not), she must wait four seconds before she can perform this move again. Otherwise she will just perform her up tilt.
If Meicoomon performed this move in her “Saltation Form”, then she will travel 50 % further up and 50 % faster. Then her claw-attack will have 25 % higher damage, reach and knockback than it used to be. Then she will fall downwards in a helpless state after slashing with her claws. At the same speed as she would fall if she was regular Meicoomon. If she gets attacked while performing this variant of the move, she will receive the intended damage and knockback from it. Adjusted based on the adjustments that come upon her being in her “saltation Form”. The recovery time needed after performing this move is also the same as in her regular form.
If the player performs this move while she is Meicrackmon VM. Then she will perform a completely different attack. In which she creates lures out of her body (like in the upper-right picture). Then these lures will turn into four copies of herself that surrounds her. When Meicrackmon VM starts moving, the clones will scatter around and performs various attacks and actions. With the opponents having no idea on who the right one is. Until they gets attacked. If a clone takes 15 % damage, then it will explode into a puff of fur. While the original will receive damage and knockback as usual (with the adjustments that comes from her being Meicrackmon VM). The clones will also only deal 50 % of the damage and knockback that the original does and they cannot pick up items. Meicrackmon VM cannot perform this move while clones are helping her. If the player tries anyways, then she will growl and thus reveal that she is the correct one. Unless all four clones have been destroyed by the opponent(s), they will disappear after either eight seconds has passed or when Meicrackmon VM loses a stock. Regardless of how the clones where dealt with, Meicrackmon VM cannot summon new clones until sixteen seconds has passed. But if she gets attacked while she is “creating” the clones out of her lures. Then the clones will not come out and she needs to wait four seconds to try again.
DOWN B: Shadow Wave / Roar of Agony
Meicoomon looks towards the ground and sends out a purple energy out of her body (just like in the picture). This energy will spread out until it covers an area as wide as a Smart Bomb-explosion. But if she gets attacked while sending out the energy, then the energy will go away and she will receive the intended damage and knockback. Then she must wait six seconds before she can try this move again. Once the energy has reached its maximum reach, it will remain in place for eight seconds and allow Meicoomon to be controlled again. If an opponent enters the affected area, then its movement-speed will gradually decrease. The longer the opponent stays in the area, the bigger the decrease will become. Until the opponent moves at 1/6 of its initial movement-speed. If Meicoomon (or her allies in a Team Battle) enters the area. Then they will be unaffected by its effects. The shadow energy will disappear from the area after either the eight seconds has passed, Meicoomon loses a stock or when she performs this move again. Which she can do four seconds after it has been fully created. But doing so will instantly get rid of it, while the new one has to be fully created. Thus leaving her open to get attacked and unable to move.
When Meicoomon performs this move while in her “Saltation Form”, then the move will be created much faster. Thus allowing her to be able to move much sooner. The area that the shadow energy affects will be the same as when regular Meicoomon performed the move. However, if an opponent passes over the affected area now. Then that opponent will also receive damage over time along with having its mobility reduced. This time it will also affect the opponent, even if it was in the air when passing over the affected area. The time that Meicoomon “Saltation Form” has to wait before she can perform this move again is the same as normal Meicoomon. As are the methods on how the affected area can be freed from its effect.
When Meicrackmon VM performs this move, then she will not create an area that can slow down an opponent. Instead she will loudly scream “DA GAN!!” and shoot several missiles of purple energy out of her body (like in the right pictures). This move functions in a similar manner to how Pikachu’s Down B works, but it has reach more like Master Beast’s version. When the opponent(s) gets hit by the purple missiles, then they will receive the same amount of damage and knockback as Pikachu’s Down B. Though it lasts for three seconds from the moment she stops screaming her line. Then after she has performed this move, she will pant to catch her breath and then 1 ½ seconds later, the player will be able to control her again. Then she must wait seven seconds before she can perform this move again. Otherwise, she will groan loudly as she attempts to perform this move and fails. Leaving her open to get attacked by the opponent(s). If she gets attacked while she is initiating the attack, then she will take the intended damage and knockback (with the adjustments that comes with her transformation). After this happened, she must wait six seconds before she can try again.
FINAL SMASH: Raguelmon Rampage
Regardless of which form is currently in play, she will get down on her knees and put her hands on the ground. Then she will scream loudly as she gets surrounded by purple energy. Then after a few seconds, the energy will be thrown in all directions and the Digimon in play have digivolved into Raguelmon. She will then stand up and get ready for battle. The energy will push anyone that is close enough really far away from her, while not dealing any damage. The time it takes for the Digimon to digivolve into Raguelmon differs depending on who it is. But the Digimon cannot be harmed in anyway while digivolving.
· Meicoomon (6 seconds)
· Meicoomon “Saltation Form” (5 seconds)
· Meicrackmon VM (3 seconds)
Once Raguelmon stands up, she can be controlled by the player. She will have the same mobility and power as Meicrackmon VM. But she will instead take ¼’s less damage and knockback from the opponent(s) than she would if she was Meicoomon. While also being almost twice as tall as Meicrackmon VM. She also gains two new Special Moves that she can use, both of them replace her other Special Moves.
· Pahorus (replaces her Standard B and Up B)
Raguelmon jumps into the air and points her arms forwards. Then she fires a barrage of laser bullets from the gemstones situated on her arms and chest (just like in the upper-right picture). These laser gems will act like how Ness’ and Lucas’ Final Smashes worked in Smash Wii U. Except that they come sout from her and not from the top of the screen. When the laser gems lands on the ground, they will cover an area as big as Master Beast’s body-length. Any opponent that gets caught in the barrage will be trapped in it until the attack ends. Then the opponent(s) will receive the intended knockback from it all. Raguelmon cannot be attacked while she is performing this move. Then after she is done three seconds later, Raguelmon will land safely on the ground and must wait two seconds before she can perform this move again. If this move is performed in the air, then she will fire the laser bullets right away without the need of jumping. Then she will fall downwards, but not in a helpless state.
· Form Taranis (replaces her Side B and Down B)
Raguelmon dashes forwards a distance as far as a “Wizard’s Foot-distance”, while grunting. If she connects with at least one opponent then she will slash the opponent(s) four times with her claws. Then she will perform a powerful back-flip that delivers a massive amount of knockback to the opponent(s). This entire process will deal a total of 24 % damage to the opponent(s). Afterwards, she must wait three seconds before she can perform this move again. If she did not come in contact with at least one opponent while she dashed forwards. Then she will stop after travelling the full distance and can perform the move again right away. If this move is performed in the air, then she will not fall down in a helpless state once she has either performed the move or missed an opponent.
After Raguelmon has performed five Special Moves or after sixteen seconds has passed since the player became able to control her. She will emit a lot of light-energy and then digivolve back into Meicoomon. She will also revert back to Meicoomon if Raguelmon loses a stock while she is playable.
