The rainbow paint offsets with the monotone face not only because of color but because of texture... and it works because of a surreal attitude. My mind wants to attach symbolism and derive meaning but it is capture in the pure moment. thanks.

The little textures in this really make it a brilliant piece. The woman looks so real and yet she has an almost porcelain look to her that stands out against the grittier and more lively paint.
