Did you test out how that pattern would look when illuminated? Because it looks just like a forest scene with overlapping branches. Gosh that's so pretty. :3

I didn't test it beforehand, but I did see a manufactured lamp shade online that had that effect and studied the pattern. The low angle of the bulb and all the different cut out holes give it a 3D effect (which even I wasn't anticipating!)
