I think that the background is too close. Perhaps it would be better to have no differences in the two images like it would in real (something similar to infinite depth).
I like the fact that the result is still a painting even in a 3d view, it still smooth.
Did you treat differently the small buildings in the foreground (scale, perspective adjustment, ...) ? because the depth is more realistic there than the buildings in the middleground.
Anyway it's really cool to have artists using stereo, i'm sure that some advanced techniques will raise soon like the ones well-known for perspective.

Fantastic, though the building on the left hand 1/3 right in front of the bridge looks kind of... odd. Normally it looks fine, but in a stereoscopic perspective it looks like it's leaning forward.
