Asantell... I was just looking through your gallery when I came across this painting. I think it is wonderful!
It exhibits some of the moody stillness of the empty city during the late night, a reminiscent feeling as seen in Edward Hopper's "Nighthawks".
I must say that I enjoy all your works and especially your wood sculptures! Continued success and inspiration to you!

Funny, I do really admire hopper, thanks for the compliment. Though oddly I wasn't thinking of him while doing this, just struck by someone in the subway, and took a ton of candid pictures of her. But everyone who's seen the pic (including the person who bought it) has said it made them think of hopper (including a large number of people who cant remember his name and say that picture, in the diner...)
Resemblance is definitely there...

I see Van Gogh and a touch of Rockwell. It's so retro but contemporary.

haha. that would definitely be me. Like this girl here, I always pull out my book whenever I get the chance. It's nice to see that she's being appreciated for her love of books. Artwise this, like the rest of your gallery, is beautiful and well done. It seems that no matter the medium you are indeed talented in it. Very well done!
