“Do you know why your grandfather called you Wu Xie? You’re the purest child the Wu family have had in so many years...But now, you’re the most involved in this case”.
A tribute to Wu Xie, who has quickly become one of my favourite characters of all-time! I started with the Lost Tomb Reboot, but then became so fascinated with his character as I learnt more about his story and his development in all the other seasons. He starts off so very innocent and kind as our Tianzhen Wu Xie (S1 and 2), but quickly finds his more cunning side as he becomes increasingly embroiled in a mystery that has plagued the Mystic Nine for three generations (Ultimate Note and Sand Sea). I guess I wanted to incorporate small bits of his story in this artwork, but it’s mostly centred on the end of Ultimate Note, which is I think, the ultimate turning point of Wu Xie.
