While it would certainly be an impressive feat, I kind of hope that we *don't* use DRM 5.0 or anything remotely like it to go to Mars. It's a very inefficient and expensive method. Engines like VASIMR can cut the travel time from 8-9 to 4-5 months and fuel mass to 1/3 (the 39 days they advertised is a pipe dream though). For a 4-5 months travel time, solar power would be enough to power it.
