Yes...I can see why. You've captured a mood. John Singer Sargent said...."Paint the Attitude." You have done that here. great use of warm and cool tones.

It's basically straight oil paint. I don't really like using much medium or anything

I was more concerned with color mixture, It looks like a really good base for those really lush skin tones.

Oh ok. I can't remember what colors I used exactly, but I decided to go with a dull purple since it's complementary to the strong yellows in her face, and then I integrated some pinks to tie into the pinks in her face.
