It's jpeg. I'm trying to get myself into raw, I really am... but it makes my camera a bit slower when shooting in raw and it makes me impatient lol

Try this for a while: set your camera to capture raw+jpeg (it will chew up a lot of space on your SD card, but you shouldn't be treating those as long-term storage anyway β you should dump the contents of your card to your computer at least once a day). Then you can mess around in a raw converter to your heart's content to see what you can produce, while still having the jpeg to fall back on should you find yourself frustrated. But ultimately, once you start to gain some mastery of the raw software, you'll find that you won't want to go back to just shooting jpegs because the in-camera raw processing is just not that great compared to what a good piece of software running on a powerful machine can do.
