The female wailing spirit known as the Banshee roams Black Mountain at the darkest of hours, her screams are an omen of impending doom or death for either the person who hears them or someone they know or love.. But a Banshee that has been born out of Black Mountains darkness is different.. The island lore speaks of a woman that was betrayed by her lover and when she confronted him he wrapped his hands around her neck as she tried to scream for help... after strangling her to death he hid her body deep within the mines, his actions unknowingly awakening a darkness from its slumber. A sliver of that darkness crept into where the girls soul once resided and the Banshee was born... her victims are found mutilated, deep lacerations often exposing their ribcages and missing their hearts. It has been said that you can see her shimmering silver hair in the moonlight from afar. Her wailing can drive people crazy some say even enough to commit suicide. Like most of the other creatures on Black Mountain she disguises herself as human and could be someone you know or even love....
