I just wanted you guys to know how I think Heliozhir would be like as a boyfriend for love month lmaoooo
He can DEFINITELY be a bit of a control freak ::’)))

Part of this is his own personality but also has a fair bit of contribution from both his past and his nature as a mermaid. He naturally holds tightly to things he doesn’t want to lose.
Mermaids are naturally somewhat territorial. They treasure what’s theirs and become highly aggressive when it’s threatened or coveted by others.

His mother was always taking his things away as a child, and he never really had a sense of “this thing is mine and only mine”, so understandably he can be seen as overly controlling and possessive of things and people he feels as though are “his”. All that trauma just managed to exacerbate his territorial mermaid aggression.
This isn’t so bad a thing with objects, but it has it’s moments.
People however, it can be somewhat problematic.

He performs a lesser version of this behavior with people he’s close and platonic with as well. So even a Griffol he’s not dating, Sephaera and sometimes Rosemary can get this kind of behavior.
He makes attempts to keep others from interacting with them/befriending them and therefore “stealing” the attention of his favorite people. He’s always afraid he’s going to get left behind for something better.

Yet another reason why he can’t stand Alavanna since she’s becoming fast friends with Griffol and taking his attention up.

Honestly I might do some more of these possessive poses cause they’re kinda fun??? I’m having a lot of fun, they’re challenging haha
