This is an illustration from my new book: Paper Boat and Other Sea Side Songs. It will be published in 2023. I made this small painting on Fredrix canvas paper, made with Liquitex acrylic paints, B.Ross brushes and water. This illustrates the lyrics of a song that I wrote called: 'Little Drops of Rain', which will be available with the book. It's a song about falling asleep as it rain-storms intensely, outside. The main character is melting comfortably into the dreamworld, and while doing so, she feels as if the shadows of the tress and the ocean waves outside, are closing in around her like a a surreal embrace.
