Still doing daily drawings--and this took up like, five days. \o/;; HOORAY I AM RUSTY.Okay so this is a scene from the amazing fanfic Flowey Is Not a Good Life Coach, which you should totally read if you can handle the subject matter. And yeah, it's the same fic that featured the "ketchup surprise" thing I drew a while back (which... was also a scene featuring Alphys and Papyrus. What can I say? I like how their friendship is portrayed in this fic.)
I won't explain the context of this scene here because spoilers, but this is the scene that killed me. And the fic's not over which means I'm probably going to get killed a few more times too. ahahahahahahah

Oh God, this moment. This moment right here. It broke my heart into tiny pieces and scattered them to the wind. I was like, finally Papyrus is confiding in someone, finally he can start to break free of that hold of fear Flowey has on him, but at the same time, the sense of dread hanging over the fic increased exponentially. I hope that after this is over, Paps and Alphys can reconcile at least somewhat, since they both were just trying to protect each other and it unfortunately ended up backfiring spectacularly on them. I just... really want them to be able able to talk this out and come to some kind of understanding before Flowey inevitably resets everything.
I really like the coloring you did on this. It has a great sense of atmosphere.

This moment honestly made me cry. I was so happy that he finally managed to tell someone, but I was full of dread too, since he was genuinely putting Alphys in danger... I wish that had worked out better than it did. Poor Papyrus.

Well, I dunno what is going on (and seriously, anything else emotional today and I will break. I played the last game in a series of the Blackwell-games and... yes, it killed me. I cried for an hour. it wasn't a bad ending just... shocking. the kind you have to put in respective to the whole story and universe to-..... er... I stop.)

Oh gosh, yeah, I can understand if the fic's not really something you can handle at the moment. It gets very, very depressing, and I still don't know whether we're going to get a happy ending or not. @__@; It's SO GOOD though and everyone is very much in-character but oh gosh I just want to drag everyone out of the story and wrap them in warm blankets and give them hot soup or something because everything is horrible. D%;;;

Still want to read this fic. I like how you rendered this. It looks dirty, not crisp and shiny-- I believe this reflects the nature of the story itself.

Thank you! And yes, it definitely reflects the nature of the fic. If you've finished the game (IIRC you told me you did a while back, right?) then you definitely should read this fic! Just keep in mind that it's fairly dark (granted, the game itself gets pretty dark too) so...

This is really good! The coloring and shading is awesome, and aahhhh noooo, poor Papyrus ;~;
The one thing that bothers me is Alphys's arms- they look a bit too long and skinny, especially the right one. It looks like the right shoulder might be too low, as well?
But other than that, it's great!

Oh crap, you're right about her arms. Looking back at her sprites, her arms are fairly chubby, and yeah, the right shoulder is too low... man, this is what I get for not flipping the drawing when working on it. >>;; Ah well, it's stuff I'll have to watch out for next time.
