A lot more people need to think that way and even more need to be willing to actually do something about it.
Because it's the only life support system we have and if it destroyed, we also destroy ourselves and everything else with it.

That's true.
If everybody would care a little more about nature, the world might be a better place eventually.
Until then, we all need to see the mistakes we make.

The list of mistakes is rather large, The ones that have the real
power to actually make changes live in ivory towers so far removed
from the natural world they could care less if it exists or not.
Hard to convince someone that spends their life encased in concrete, steel and glass that the rest of the world is worth protecting and saving, after all the air they breathe is just there, filtered and cooled and the food they eat comes on a plate set before them.
Why bother looking at the effects of endless expansion and destruction of the natural world when you never see it. out of sight, out of mind, someones else's problem down the road, at some point there isn't going to be anymore road left to kick the can down.
An attempt at change will only happen when it effects them directly, only then will they ever try to do something about it. By that time
it will be far to late the damage will be far to extensive to reverse.
Something like the lack of breathable air, edible food, drinkable water, or (collapse of the their economic system ( their money tree, profit margins )) due to the fact that to many of masses can no longer afford to support something they are no longer part of (( unemployed, no money no spending power, no means to buy the crap the fat cats are selling )) will they ever try to do something about it.
The masses need to make the changes, but the masses are dumb sheep
that only follow the next sheep in front of it, so that will not happen until, again it's to late.
The days of true visionaries that can mobilize a population into action are gone. They are now to caught up in the machine, ( cell phone, TV, Etc ( to programed, no longer able to think for themselves, (Owells 1984 ))
to notice or care, and or they think it's just conspiracy theory nonsense. Clowns like Trump only help to keep the masses blind and dumb.

I see your point and understand your anger and frustration.
Creating attention and explain to others (who don't care) why our nature is so important is all we can do.
But people need to change by themselves (and insulting them doesn't help). It's a hard truth...
If they realise, that maybe will have impact on companies and gouvernments too.
I'm sure there are a lot of good people out there - or let's say, at least I hope so.

There are lots of good people out there, unfortunately they have spent their lives
stuck in the machine, it's not their fault they don't really know any better, they've been
trained since a young age to be nothing more then good little machines running the programing
they've been trained to run. Media is the lap dog of the corporate machine, and it's job is to reinforce that training.
Some of it is subliminal and some of it is repetitive reinforcement, you hear it and see it everyday, radio, TV, billboards, cell phones and internet.
George Orwell wasn't far off the mark when he wrote 1984, much of it is happening right now.
Nature and being out in it, away from all that noise clears the mind and allows a certain amount of clarity
ask any Buddhist monk and they will tell you that it is a great tool for understanding self, when you understand self then maybe you can understand that
all the trappings of the machine are really meaningless. No amount of filling your life with things is going to bring you peace and understanding and really that is what life
is all about, understanding oneself, beyond that everything else is superficial, no big house, fancy toy is ever going the fill the void they seek fill with all that stuff. They call it success! but really it's an anchor and a trap.
They can delude themselves with sayings like you can't live on love you need money, you need money and things to support yourself.
But at the end of the day and your life, none of that matters, you can't take it with you, the only thing you have is your own mind, if it's full of pointless things then
what have your learned? have you grown? are you a better person with all these trappings? I personally don't think so, In fact I observe the opposite, those with more " things " tend to be far more self centered, mean, egotistical, callous, Trump is a fine example of this type of person.
I'm not really angry, more resided to the fact that things aren't really getting any better, and it's probably going to take the total collapse of everything before things change again.
This has happened before many times through out history, it's nothing new, the human race simply repeats the some mistakes over and over again.
The only difference is this time around it can happen on a global scale, and one that it may not recover from. Another difference is that far more people are
aware of this then ever before and yet the "elite " continue on this head on collision with annihilation.
I'm an observer and a realist. I don't coat over things because it's to hard to deal with the reality of what is going, so maybe that comes off as pessimistic, negative and angry.
I observe and describe what I see. That is all, I do my best to maintain a neutral detachment from it all and not let emotions cloud my perspective on what I see.
I'm human after all and far from perfect, mistakes are also a way of learning, the key is to actually learn and not repeat the same mistakes over.
We don't seem to be doing that very well.
