Description
I've been struggling with this guy for a quite a while now and I can finally say that I'm done with him... What took me so long in painting him was not the rendering, lighting nor anything like that, but the fact that everything kept finding a way to get inside of it. Lots of feelings went on it, loneliness, weirdness, silliness, sadness, angst, fear and just plain being odd... I'm not sure if all, or any, of this can even be read from this piece but I just couldn't stop painting it. So I didn't, and this is what came out of all of it!Any thoughts, comments and/or critics are always welcome. With your help I can get better!

Well, you know the first rule of writing is, "Kill the editor"... so I guess in this instance, it would be... "kill the art critic"? Well, whatever the first rule of painting (or any heavily-creative craft) is, I believe the best rule is, "Unleash your imagination." And you certainly have. And the results are outstanding!
He resembles a manatee... I'm a fan of manatees! I've always wanted to hug a manatee... so here I go!Β

Man.... if you had changed the writing on the sign to "aw, where's my hug?" Or "What? Dont I get a hug?" Or something like that, I think you who would have perfectly captured the image of how every girl or woman feels when a strange man they just met demands physical touching in the form of an "innocent" embrace by attempting to guilt trip them.
