Description This is my sketchy reconstruction of Oculudentavis khaungraae, a hummingbird-sized creature discovered in amber from Myanmar that dates to the Cretaceous Period around 99 million years ago. Although it was initially identified a close relative of birds and therefore claimed to be the world's smallest dinosaur, its exact classification remains unclear as some paleontologists have suggested it is more closely related to lizards than birds or any other dinosaurs. For my drawing, I went with a dinosaurian interpretation, but not a particularly birdlike one (hence why it's scaly instead of feathered).
