You know, I never saw Dredd use a baton. In either movie. Yet, I never read the comics either.

In the comics he uses it and there it´s called a Daystick. If you haven´t read the comics you should check out some of the classic ones at least because there´s a lot of good stuff.

The comics are still ongoing are they? If they are, I would bet there is a lot of political correctness that always wants to ruin the fun for everyone.

Yeah, they are still going strong. I just noticed a comic I worked on for them got announced for release in May.
I wouldn´t say they are overly political correct, but I understand what you are reffering to since it seems like there are two camps specifically in american comics right now going at each other´s throats.

Well, unfortunately, some Social Justice Warriors or hardcore leftists are often banding together in order to shut down comic books that were all about freedom of self-expression in the form of conflict.
I refuse to accept living in a society where we don't have that freedom anymore.

Thank you very much, I´m a huge fan of the old Dredd comics by people like Bolland, Bisley, Kennedy etc. and the Judge Anderson comics by Ranson are something I´m quite hooked on recently. So this here is my humble tribute to those.
