I am always in awe with the photos that you have brought to us of your home country Austria and I am always thinking that it looks so much like Northeastern Wyoming and I just checked to see about the longitude and we are almost on the same line. Your photos are so inviting.

I once was hiking here in austria and during early afternoon we passed some rather flat grass hills on the top of some highter mountains and I wounldn't have have been surprised, if suddenly some uruk-hai had appeared and fought a epic battle against the riders of Rohan that just came from behind the nearest hill. I really love the nature and the hiking out here.
I allways think of New Zeeland if you had squezed whole europe into the form of Italy, thrown it around the world, where it broke into two and imediately started drawing attention to a lot of birds, rugby players and Elves. Thus the similarity between the alps and the "southern alps"

Actually, my parents were to New Zeeland for two months about twenty years ago and they were hiking at one or two places they later filmed the movie at (true or not, doesn't mater), that is really cool.
Want to go there by myself one day.
