Description Grainy scanner is grainy. And yes I do realize that the hand is fail. That's because I saved the hand for last and the paper was so smudged by the time I got to it, I couldn't even erase the blotches on it. Whatever.

My friend Blanca asked me to draw a portrait of her, so here's my result.

I spilled red paint(out of all the colors... it had to be RED?!) on the upper right hand corner of it on Monday, but today I was able to fix it with white paint and darken the rest that spilled on the hair with just pencils. Thank God for improvisations.

Took 3 long weeks of work, mostly because I did this entirely at school.

Graphite on Bristol board 8x11"
Used: HB(0.5), 6B(lead holder), Dynagraph(N3 and N4)
Kneaded eraser
Tissue
Blending stump

This is too cool. Honestly thought it as a photo! I like the too white, I think it goes with the whole image.

The whites are too over powering... could be becuase its a scene girl and she feels the need to over edit her photos... but the face looks way unrealistic because of it. I like the work on the hair though. You need to use graphite powder for large areas (i.e. the shirt) cuz the pencil marks just kill the entire composition.

Oh yeah, i left the site for obvious reasons though, people just can't accept the fact that I drew my own work you know? So I guess EVERYONE who draws like me is a tracer. -__- But I digress

Ehm.. Don't take this wrong. Your work is great and you must be genius to draw like that. But why? You learn from photos until you are able to make your drawing look exactly like photo. But you already did that. Now, you should start drawing with your head. You know what I mean? M? M?
But hey. There's a lot of artist who can't draw like you. So you are awesome! Just like me..
