Vitani was back in the Pridelands.
Every season or so, the other females of Kovu's Pride were granted to go about the Savannah in search for male companionship. Vitani had met a fine young rogue. Because he didn't have a Pride of his own, Vitani had come back to Pride Rock, but with her, a new son.
She spent the first few weeks of his life alone with him, until the day she felt he was ready to meet his Pride.

"Oh, Aunt Vitani, he's adorable!" said Shani.
Vitani smiled.
"Heheh!" chucked Shani, "Look Chaka, he's got more of a mane than you already!"
Chaka sat down and peered at the new cub. He did have quite the tuff of fur on his head.
"Are you going to say hello to your new cousin Chaka?" asked Vitani.
"Oh...yeah. Hullo...umm..."
"Whats his name Aunt Vitani?" Shani chimed in.
"Well, I've decided to name him...Nuka, after my late brother."
"You and dad had another brother?" Chaka asked.
"Yes we did. Let me tell you about him..."
