Hes a pitch black arab stallion,I worked on a different style with these watercolours here, I placed layer upon layer, less layers on lighter parts and layered until black on the shading...
I'm really trying to find my own style with watercolours, I just pray I'm getting there..
OMG that f*&king eye (his right our left) I re-did it 4 times before almost throwing my palette at it!!!!!

u live in australia?!?!? daggum, ur lucky! i wanna move there when i graduate from college! lol. u r really good drawing. in my opinion, one of the best. im still learning. one of my friends has been attempting to teach me how to draw. lol.

I only moved to australia 3 years ago (I'm originally from Ireland) its a great place and I recommend it in a heart beat...
With the drawing stuff, the only advice I can give is pratice! When I was 14 I was woeful, but with a great deal of pratice I can finally be proud of my artwork (almost 10 years later

wow caroline another beuatiful horse painting i don't know which i like more the one i viewed before or this one!! beautiful watercolor skills you have i like the darks you achieve with them which i don't always think it's that easy with watercolors..at least i never had any luck when i tried them ,beautiful work

Ooh, interesting! I love the presence and personality (if you can say that about a horse, something I think you can) in the picture. Even though it definitely looks painted, there is something so real about it. He looks so shiny and proud and magnificent! It's almost like you captured his soul. The black and the blue looks very good together too. Well done on his mane too, and excellent composition. Really a great picture. And I didn't notice that eye before re-reading your description - the other eye draws most of the attention, actually. So well done!

I have noooo idea if you intended it, but it looks slightly comic-book style to me (I love comic book style) with the great contrast and the dramatic pose/ expression. It's a pretty kick-ass horse! You're very good at horses. I didn't see anything wrong with the eye, either. O_o
