Lifesized.. I did not measure it before it sold.. but it was about three feet hands to feet.

Utterly stunning and beautiful. You, sir, have humbled me, as well as opened my mind. Thank you for that.

OMG,that's WAY better than all the others for durability.
Do you use PEG 1000 to stabilize green wood?
Or are you carving only on seasoned pieces?

Any wood kept dry will last almost indefinitely. This carving was made green. I don't use anything to stabilize wood except splitting out the heart. A piece of wood this size cannot really be seasoned well.. better to carve green.

this work is wonderul! I really donΒ΄t know why, but for some reason it reminds me a little bit of some of Wilhelm Lehmbrucks stone sculptures.

Whatever I can basically, today I'm off to do a few days of demo work. Wooden boxes make my bread and butter money.. whatever I do buys time to work on odd art pieces! Glad you enjoy them.
At the foot of my loft where I display my art and nude photography is a sign that says, "if you ascend these stairs you agree that nudity and sexuality are valid subjects for expression in art." "Clothing optional!" Most ascend. I feel those who do not are missing the point, and a good deal of beauty that is part of our design.
Thanks once again, conversation greatly appreciated!

That's amazing!!!!!!!! I love your sign!!! Do you mind if I use the slogan?!
That's great!!
Hey, I just inherited an odd piece.. I got two decks of keys from an old electric organ. I want to recylce them and do something creative and innovative with htem, but they're heavy, old, and Idk where to start!!
Any suggestions?!

Use the slogan till it's wore out!
Send a picture if you like, my email is in my profile..
Not sure how many or how uniform they might be.. but maybe tper the sides so they can be made into a bowl ? How about cut them and stack them like a log house.. maybe mount each one on a tiny base.. or make a base that would be like a keyboard and adjust the heights and angles as if one was playing them.. or maybe they make an image like a wave sweeping past..
No shortage of ideas!

Am I a horrible person for letting my first thought wander to what she looks like from behind?
Don't answer that--I'm pretty sure I am.
WOAH THIS WAS SUBMITTED FIVE YEARS AGO?

I still have hope. :3

You are not horrible! Come on.. lighten up! We all want to know.. I wanted to so bad I carved her so I would know for sure! I left her with just a cleft and no real detail but I shaped her butt to be very round and nice!
