AAAHHH I won! I'm so happy with the mare and already have so many things I want to draw for her! But I wanted to start with a little happy story and one that showed Carlo and Diana together after he got her :3 ║ Story ║
It took way to long for Carlo. The four other horses that were in the ring were going to be sold first and there were way to many people who wanted them. Bid after bid. Luckily Carlo had Leona to keep him focused. “I still love that chestnut standing there” Leona said as she was looking at the horses.
“Well I don’t like him. The only one I want is the mare.” Carlo kept a close eye on her. There was not a large group that came to inspect her, but it was still competition. The auctioneer almost yelled that one of the horses was sold and not for a small price either. The new owner came walking toward the horse, took the reigns over with a smile and walked away. The auctioneer looked back at him paper while the mare was being brought in. “It is now time for this lovely lady to get her new owner. She was not up for auction, but was most certainly looking for a new home. The following people have chance: Miss. Ivory, Carlo Dubois and Vikula. Your names will be spin in the generator and from there a winner will be chosen. The mare was quietly looking at the crowd with her ears pointing towards the loud auctioneer. Carlo could already tell she liked her silence. And besides that auctioneer did not have the most pleasant voice. The noise of the machine started and the names were spinning. The tension was devastating. Carlo closed his eyes and tried to focus on the sound of the machine. Leona kept a hand on his shoulder to try and keep him calm. The machine sound stopped and he felt Leona pinch his shoulder followed by a happy laughter. Carlo opened his eyes and saw that his name was on the machine. “I won.. I actually won!” He laughed and hugged Leona.
“Well come up her and take your mare with you. I hope you brought a trailer with you.” The auctioneer said while waving Carlo towards him. Carlo went through the fence and took the mares reigns. He gave her a pet over the head and quickly leaded her out of the arena. The noise was getting more and more annoying, since the festivities were now beginning.
Leona was quickly walking towards the pair. “I’m so happy for you! You finally found your perfect horse. Now you don’t have to beg to ride Jack anymore!” she said with a smile. “Hmm she will outshine him eventually anyway.” Carlo said back with a grin. He gave his mare a few comforting pets over her neck. Even though she was quiet and obedient he could feel she was a bit stressed from all the commotion in the arena. Leona grabbed in her pocket and took some regular horse candy out. Diana’s ears shot up again and she quickly sniffed Leona’s hand. After she was sure it would taste good she took a bite and the candy was gone. “She’s a candy lover. You better tell Caith to not feed her to much when we get home.”
“I will be the only one to give her food. She will have the best diet to support her champion career.”
“Do you already have a name for her?”
“Of course. She looks naturally beautiful with her shiny coat and since the breed is known slightly for their hunting skills she now named Diana. Diana is the roman god for hunting, nature and the moon.”
“Ha you and your mythology. It does fit her though. Well let’s get Diana in to the trailer and ride toward Blue Lagoon. It has been a long day.” Leona already walked toward the trailer while Carlo gave Diana one more hug before loading her in. He had never been so happy.
