The serene expression of the Japanese Noh-inspired mask clamped to her face shows nothing of the absolute terror felt by Iris. Without any reason given, they sent her to the disciplinary camp located directly in between complexes 18A and 18B. It's where prisoners from both sections go to for brutal punishment, execution, or both.

Iris recognized the severed head attached by a chain to her ankle. It belonged to a young woman from her block who was taken away days before Iris was sent here. Maybe there's a connection, maybe not.

Because of her rigid bar shackles, Iris can't walk very well or very fast, so there's really no useful labor for her to do. She knows she's not there to work. She's there to suffer, perhaps even to die, and end up as a head attached to a chain, or stuck up on a pole by the gate.

NOTE: This would appear to be a horrific end for Iris Kim , but I'm not really sure about her ultimate fate. I just felt the urge to do something harsh.
