"And you choose mercy. Extraordinary." I find that line memorable for some reason, probably because I'm rarely big on mercy unless we're talking cruel mercy (how I view the other non lethal options) probably helped him that it was obvious that he felt guilt.
This is nice, the style just seems to really fit with the game's atmosphere

Thank you! Yes, I don't find the other non-lethal options merciful, either. With Daud, I don't know. I find him less creepy than most of his whalers, to be honest.

The fact Daud actually has a face probably helps lower his creep factor. But yeah when it came to the others I considered letting them live an act of pure malice born out of the fact I (as Corvo) hated them SO much that I wouldn't be satisfied with simply ending their lives; I wanted them to truly suffer for what they did.

God that fight in the DLC was a very mind-fucking moment to me... as much as I agreed that Daud deserved to be punished for assasinating the Empress, I didn't want Corvo to kill him ... I kinda grew attached to that wretched bastard!!
