my sparklegoat oc, illuima! i'm revamping the reference sheets of my four characters (the last ones were from 2014 and seriously outdated -_-)so like all of my characters, illuima was originally based off of a maraquan ixi from neopets.
i don't really go on neo much anymore, but i'm keeping all of the wonderful characters i've made on there and just making them my own species haha ^o^
i love the starry/spacey aesthetic and the general concept for this one is 'the night sky reflected on water'
illuima is basically a creature that lives in large bodies of open-air freshwater lakes. they tend to only appear on nights when the sky is clear. when they surface from the water, their 'hair' drags along the starry reflections on the waters surface and becomes a sort of half liquid, half gas fog... thing. yeah totally makes sense right?

I really like the color palette, and the sparkly otherworldliness that it evokes.
Truly a creature of mysterious water.
The blue sparkle cloud stuff makes me think of clouds moving quickly across the night sky.

Such a wonderful sparkly sparkle goat *w* What an absolute cutie~!!! I love how this was based on a Maraquan Ixi design, and I love the info on them where you can only see them on clear nights.
This is one lovely character sheet Jax, I cant help but stare at this for hours because of the stars and the aesthetic of it omgg. Lovely lovely job~!!
