Description
Nothing like a big fat Kererū sitting up a Pūriri tree.
Pūriri tend to fruit and flower year round and are fantastic at feeding the birds of Aotearoa New Zealand. They have these lovely bright green leaves. Kererū are cool too, they do these spectaculat swoops in spring to impress each other and gobble down any fruit, flower, seed, or shoot that comes their way, which makes them wonderfully pump. Very pleasing to look at. Also the fact that they are quite large helps too, much bigger than your rock-dove or domesticated pigeon, they make an impression.
