Cover illustration for the Japanese novel, 2011/07Thanks for your comments! The novel is titled 「昼寝の神様」, means "The god of napping". However, I think the sound "god" is not appropriate for this, shinto story, so I changed it.

I love the camera-like angle that you put in this! And the colors are so vibrant and beautiful, yet still soft on the eyes. I loooove busy-styled anime! Too many graphic anime novels are having an unoriginal style, or cliche style, but there's that more creative, artsy, and slightly realistic anime that I just love! Especially suggestive details, just a few lines suggesting the form without having to actually draw the whole thing. Ah... love.

The coloring, the way that everything is directed to one point on the picture and just all of the random yet perfect characters and objects (Such as the train on the left) makes this drawing more worth going in my favorites than any other, thank you for posting this. ♥
