Description It's the same thing every day. I sit in this hotel bed and my team- no. My family comes to visit me when they have the time. They joke about how they couldn't believe how 'weak little Kai, knocked their lights out'. They're a bunch of fools if they think I don't know what really happened. But it's still nice that they come to visit me day after day. I'll be out of this place in a couple of days, just before the blade breakers have to go back to Japan.
They're having a party downstairs in this large building. I can't go but people have been up throughout the night saying hello and giving me their blessings and all that crap. Even the people I don't like that much, mainly Daichi and Tyson, came to see me. It isn't as bad as I make it out to be but it was lonely. But then one person came up to me that I had only seen once before. She popped her pink haired head into my room and I sat in awe as she smiled.
"I'm glad I got the right room." She said in a high pitched voice.
"Yes?" I said coldly. I didn't mean too. She stared but didn't back away. She actually walked in.
"I overheard Bryan and Spencer talking before they got pushed away for an interview." She said as she held out a plate of food. I couldn't see what the food was though. "I heard them say that you enjoy… umm how did they said it... Studeen?"

"студень!"* I jumped at her some-what obvious pronunciation to my favorite food. "It's a type of I guess you'd call it gelatin?"
She walked over with a smile on her face and handed me the plate. She had a spoon on the side waiting for me. She smiled and waved her had trying to tell me to eat. She stared at my plate wondering what exactly the food was.
"It's a different mixture of meats, like pork and beef cooked with spices then while in the broth you freeze it and make it into a jelly like outside. There are carrots also mixed into it as well." I spoke with pride to my Russian heritage. She seemed absolutely enthralled to hear me talk. I paused and she looked for a moment. I had remembered something I should have asked.
"What is your name again?"
"Mathilda." She answered immediately.
"How come you're here at the banquet? Your team didn't make it into the finals."
"We were on the honorable mentions of sorts. We'll be in the tournament next year!" She said with a determined look on her face. He goggles fell off of her head and around her neck and she jumped in embarrassment. I chuckled and looked at her.
"I'll see you there then kid."
She stopped fidgeting and looked at me with a blank stare. Then her smile got really big and her cheeks were pink. I looked at her in confusion. Females and I don't necessarily have these kinds of conversations so it was different.
"You're not like how everyone says you are."
"What?"
"Everyone usually says you're cold and robotic. Like you're not even human." I slouched at her comment. I knew this truth but it was never pleasant to hear. "But they are so wrong! They just think that's because they haven't got the chance to actually talk to you! I don't see one robotic thing about you right now." Her smile was big and her eyes filled with joy.
"Mathilda…"
"Yeah, Tala?"
"Thanks." I said as I looked at the empty plate sitting on my lap. "It was nice of you to say that."
"It's true." She giggled and stood up. "Would you like me to go get you some more?" She said pointing to my plate.
"No. This is all I will be able to stomach for the time being. Thank you though. The thought is nice." I told her.
"Then I'll get going back to the party. Your team should be coming up soon."
"Yeah. Well they came too late." I said with a small smile.

She ran out happily and I was alone in my room once more. I looked around for the television remote. I wanted something to drown out the silence. I noticed it was across the room and that I needed to hop out of bed in order to get it. So I did. I stumbled a bit but I made it to the table with the remote on it and back to my bed. I flicked on the television hoping to see something of interest. I found a channel that had interviews of the bladers downstairs.
"Being the champ is a natural thing for me! But my battle with Kai was the most rewarding experience of them all." Tyson spoke with proud and kind eyes. I was glad Kai would travel back to Japan with them all.
"With Tala being hurt we'll hold him back on his training but we're all gonna try out again for the Russian team next year. Maybe Ian will make it. 'Hey!'" I heard Bryans comforting words and smiled.
'So who do you think your main competition in the next competition will be?'
"Well" I heard Mathilda's voice. "We'll have to look out for the demolition boys. They are tricky boys." She giggled. "But I can't wait to see them all again."
'Even though their cruel bladers.'
"But they're good people!" She said with an innocent smile.

He sat in his bed to see the reporter's reaction then the change to another blader. He smiled and wondered if they would meet in the dish during the next tournament. He clicked the television off and pulled the blankets up. He took in a deep breath and slowly started to feel sleepy. He smiled and fell asleep not even hearing his friends come through the door. When he woke up there was another plate of студень waiting for him with a card.

"I can't wait until we meet in the dish – Mathilda."
