Description
The Krzyżtopór Castle located near nowaday cottage called Ujazd was built by Krzysztof Ossoliński, Sandomierz's voivode and nobleman from wealth Ossoliński family. Before Versailles it was one of the biggest palaces in Europe, which stood still even during Swedish Deluge during 1655-1660, which was part of Second Northern War. Although architect of this marvelous place isn't known at the end of castle's construction was Laurentius de Sente, in Poland known under the name Wawrzyniec Senes. His project became a real thought thing. Although it was captured by Swedish Army, it wasn't destroyed. The destruction made someone different.
