A large non-venomous serpent that resides primarily in volcanic vents and pyroducts and usually come out only to feed and drink. Lava snakes can often be found at least a couple miles from their homes when hunting for food and can take quite a while to traverse back and forth as they are very slow. They are a bright red with pale spines on the top of their head.
