To start, this is beautiful. It caught my attention out of a whole page of deviations. When I look at it my eye moves all around the piece. It has a wonderful balance that makes me feel good inside and how stunning she is. I get a sense of sadness when I gaze into her eyes but I feel that everything will be alright.
I find that the color red is a difficult color to work with because it is hard to shade. The different shades and light give it a wonderful depth of color as well as emotion. I love the pop, the beauty, the makeup and the style. Very well done.

This woman looks hollow, downtrodden, and haunting. The poppies, and hair and makeup to match lead me to thinking this is a memorial piece. To me, this woman looks pale and haunting. She lingers even after the loss of her loved ones. It's a reminder of the effect war has on us all. The striking contrasts in this piece really draw the viewer in. She looks left behind.
Props on using real poppies / real poppy imagery. I think her freckles also add to the colour scheme. Her hair takes up most of the background which I think makes the piece look like it's larger than just the photo.
