I've seen a bunch of other people doing more modern J-Pop for this prompt, but I was instead picturing more traditional Japanese music and decided on a koi mermaid playing a shamisen (I hope I spelled that correctly.)
I imagine she's a regular performer at a classy sushi restaurant, but I have no idea if she actually eats the sushi there. Would a mermaid eating fish be seen as cannibalism or would it be normal since fish eat other fish all the time?
I suppose styling a Japanese mermaid after a Koi is a bit predictable, but a sushi restaurant close to where I live actually has a koi pond inside, so I'm sort of paying tribute to that.
