so on the suggestion of the FANGREATSOME* ~UltimeciaFFB , i went to the wacom website where they let me download my tablet's software for free, and now i can USE skeets ((my tablet's name.... DON'T JUDGE ME))!!
but i still needed lots of practice so... VIOLA!! ((that's like 'voila' only cooler cuz it's a viola. violas KICK ASS. alto clef FTW)). it started with iris, then bart, then kon, then greta, then tim... and it just kept going. eventually i decided to end it when i'd done all the faces of people who would appear in my fantasy-land team up of YTAJ, the Young Teens Avenging Justice 
they were drawn in a random order, though.the colouring in this can go eff itself. i just wanted to practice doing sketches and lineart totally via tablet, and maybe try to nail down what exactly my art "style" is XDD i'd say it's still in a debatable state of flux, though... >>; a few of the faces in this can also go jumo off bridges, but i knew if i obsessed over them and went back to make better versions of the ones who sucked, i'd NEVER finish this and NEVER move on to other projects XD so i apologize for minor instances of suckitude
((billy, virgil, and iris hurt my eyes the most ><; ))as for YTAJ, it's set up so for every DC character, there's an equal and oppoiste Marvel character. i tried to match them up based on powers or personality, though the parallels get seriously iffy towards the end XD;
i know you don't care but here's the line-up anyway!!

Impulse/Speed=superspeed
Superboy/Hulkling=super strength, unusual and scandelous lineage X3
Robin/Patriot=team leader, throws shuriken-like weapons, does hand-to-hand combat, has control issues
Static/Victor=zappy zappy electromagnetic powers
Empress/Wiccan=magic-like powers based on their will to control others
Slobo/Iron Lad=work well with highly advanced technology, grow up to be homocidal psychopaths XD
Speedy/Hawkeye=bow-wielding rape victims
Hotstreak*/Xavin=FIRE FIRE YEAH! ...and a temper problem to match XD
Sh'bang/Molly=superstrength, sweet and giggly
Secret/Vision=can become intanglibe, very sweet and sincere personality
Raven*/Nico=goth witches
WonderGirl/Stature=blondes named Cassie
...for serious XDGear/Karolina=the voice of reason for the group XD
Blue Beetle/Chase=that other guy, kind of a hapless jokester
Kid Flash*/Klara=cute. younger. there.
NOT PICTURED: Beast Boy/Gert=um... she has a dinosaur and he can BE a dinosaur? but i gauged him too old for this lineup and her too dead. meh.

*near the end of the 'static shock' cartoon, hotsteak showed signs of turning over a new leaf. sort of. a bit. i think he'd make a great anti-hero X3 like ravenger only less HELLA ANNOYING
*technically raven is part of the generation-1 titans, but in her new body she's younger again, like 16, so she fits with these guys
*Iris is about 12, superfast, and kid flash in dakt-land
CHARACTERS NOT MINE AND SUCH. i just messed the hell out of them XD
kudos to you if you actually know all these characters and know which is which without the masks
congrats! you're as big a dork as dakt

You suck so much. I had this idea over the summer and never got around to finishing my composite sketches. Except for me, it was just Young Justice/ Young Avengers and they were Young Vengence. It's cool that you had idea, makes me wanna draw my guys.
Team line up consisted of Duke (Empress/Wiccan, the reality warping voodoo kid), Eagle (Robin/Patriot, raised by the black Super Soldier), Kas-El (Stature/Superboy, can shrink or grow herself and anything she touches), Archer (Arrowette/Hawkeye, nuff said), Beat (brother to Duke, lost in time when a baby and artifically aged. Super speed!), Tebo (Lobo/Hulking, an alien prince who destroyed his homeworld), Whisper (Secret/Vison, robot ghost!) and Core (Wonder Girl/ Iron Lad, magical armour.)
...that was a pretty long post which consisted mostly of me talking about myself. Sorry.

Well, it looked like it was done with a tablet but I wasn't sure, so I figured I'd ask and find out if some other medium looks like that. I'm not the sharpest bulb when it comes to coloring.

But I curious. I thought Hulkling was green all the time. 
On an artistic note, this pic produces equal parts of envy and inspiration. These lines have all the qualities I love in illustration. If you didn't say they'd been done on Skeets I would've just assumed you drew them on paper. Which is awesome. I've seen a lot of people make the switch to tablets and their stuff pretty much instantly becomes sterile and mechanical. But you still have the Dakt flavour going on.
The range of expressions here too is mind blowing. So many variations and subtle gestures. I could look at them and study them for hours. It doesn't look like you've drawn a face and then just drawn different hair styles over the top of each one. Each head looks individual and has it's own character. And for that I'm extremely jealous of what you can do.

trick me? i'm curious as to how you wouldn've achieved that XD challenging me to do that "25 essential expressions" might've worked... though i wouldn't do it without prodding because so far only those super-fantastic artists have done it and i didn't want to be a stupid copycat XDD

Ah...see that's what's confusing me. When I first saw the Young Avengers I thought...there's a young Cap...a young Hulk etc etc. and I assumed that they were just smaller versions, but they aren't.
When you referred to me drawing Clark from Smallville I thought "What? I never drew him!?" And then I remembered I did.
Your work into different faces has definitely succeeded.
Whereas you my friend...you can not help but be drawn in to what's happening in your pictures. Even the sketches and doodles. THAT is true skill. 
And yeah! What's up with Liss being so good at individualism?
