I was going thru your DA as one of the DA's that might be worth going thru to see what sort of interesting stuff was on it, but I think I've already gone thru it, that I'd just forgotten about doing so. Has that ever happened to you?

I agree, it's looking very nicely, with a wonderful aquarell look to it, using only few colours and leaving roughly half of the picture white, with only shading on it. the presentation is well done, the water and the stone-like floor each take about the half, with a clear border between them. I'm not sure whether the blue dots and the border work, they somehow don't really fit the style of the drawing, in my opinion, but that could just be me. the writing at the right bottom corner adds to this picture, it looks like it's writen with a real pen onto the aquarell-paper (even though I'm pretty sure it's a font anyhow, but it just suits the more bright style nicely and isn't unnaturally dark or crisp, that's what I meant).
the shading the bottom leaf casts on itself to the left could just be a tad stronger, so it doesn't look just like only one colour being there, and the contrast between the stalk and the leaves raised a bit, but that said, it's surely well done, and the shadows on the stone-floor as well as the shading of the stones underwater, as well as the water itself (being very realistic in colours) sure are an eye-catcher - well done

It is simply beaturiful, damphy.
Sorry I can't really give out any pointers. I've never used watercolours. All I can do is just look and admire the wonderful work of art.
What kind of flower is it?

I drew very very very lightly, and then painted over the graphite. I erased it after the watercolor had dried, but if you look closely at it, you can still see the lines. :/ I think that's just a part of dealing with watercolor, though.

I get a sort of vague feeling from this pic... rather dreamy, I guess. Very nice job, I love the colors, and as I said, how relaxing it feels.

Since all the more intelligent constructive criticisms were taken I'll just say... Whoa looks great. It would make a great print, on account of the warm emotion portrayed in this piece.

I loath watercolours, you have to plan too much, and once you paint something, it's pretty much there forever, unless you layer a darker colour on there. So, I am very impressed with this. Especially since you managed not to kill yourself in the process.
The layers of colour really give the image more of a realistic feel, but the more sharp crisp lines still maintains an element of illustration in it. I enjoy the style, it has a more modern aspect, rather than the classic use of the media. Unfortunately, not many artists use this, most settle for oils.
Ugh.
I love how the strokes vary from more opaque to a less so. This is a nice contrast, especially making such parts like the leafs and stem more dominant. I think that is wise, because the steam leads you through the rest of the piece, and also contrasts so nicely against the pinkish/red hue. The flower really is the main focal point, the rest of the piece is just complementing it.
Although, I have to say, the blue curve of the blanket does really help in leading me through the piece, and to the petals. Plus, the texture contrast with the random pattern does make it more noticeable. This really divides the piece into a the softer part of the counter/table, which is more washed out and neutral. I love how smaller details like the shadow are less noticeable, but after looking at it for awhile you notice it.
You should do more watercolour pieces, they are very creative and add some diversity to your gallery. I love all the new medias you are introducing.

I like how this is colored! The water looks a little too solid to be water, but the flower looks very limp and waterlogged. Also like the highlights. Very nice for a third try (or so?).
