Here we have today's entry in my Drawgust challenge, & this is a piece of literary fan art that is another one of my pieces in which a creator meets his/her creation!

Back in November, I created a piece for my Drawvember challenge where C.S. Lewis visits the land of Narnia, & there I talk about how much I love seeing creators with their creations. Basically, I find something heartwarming about the whole concept, akin to a parent alongside their child. So, I thought it was only fair that I do another fantasy themed scenario. Only this time, I decided to draw one of C.S. Lewis's closest friends, author & linguist J.R.R. Tolkien. Additionally, I really wanted to draw a piece that was a Middle Earth fan art (i.e. The Hobbit & also The Lord Of The Rings), since I really do love those stories & the lore. So, here we see Tolkien himself strolling through the land of Middle Earth & happening upon The Shire. There, he comes across the wonderful hobbit Bilbo Baggins, enjoying his pipe outside of his Hobbit Hole. Tolkien asks if Bilbo would enjoy an adventure, only for Bilbo to mention how it would make him late for dinner. This then motivates Tolkien to enjoy dinner with the friendly hobbit instead. I can't say I blame him!
