Many lovely details in this painting, but my favourite has to be the ball of string to mark his way haha. Coupled with the toy sword and teddy, it goes a long way to convey the naivety and intelligence of the kid at the same time!

This picture brings tears to my eyes; while my boy wouldn't think ahead to tie some yarn to find his way home, he and his wooden sword have had many glorious adventures... Β This speaks volumes to me both as a parent and as a once-little boy. Β The small touches...like the grass peeking over the threshold between the picture and the attic...are amazing.

Oh my god nevermind, I just went to your site and found (or more like re-found) Worm World Saga, I read that years ago and loved it. I loved the art of it too, in fact it's what really brought me into the story. But seeing it again in this much more detailed and thought provoking form is amazing. Good work Daniel.
