Hmm the secrets to my lightsaber glow, hmm mostly I do them the same as anybody else does in photohop, there are tonnes of tutorials out there. But I think the only thing I do different is I take the smudger tool and set it to a softer more feathered brush and then set the strength to 45 or a bit lower and pull the edges of the saber out to create the effect of heat coming off the saber. I hope this helps.
