You exit the den, following the draft to its source, where you discover that the cave opens up to a bright, sunny plateau. The wind howls harshly and bites right down to your skin, but the sky is at least clear. A few paces away, you spot a rabbit in the snow, standing stock still as the wind ruffles its white fur. You are close enough to try for a quick lunch if you choose.

➤ Hunt down the rabbit
➤ Leave it be and continue your hike along the plateau
★ Call on your spirit guide for advice The rabbit is watching you carefully. If you move to call your spirit guide, it will run away before you can decide!

For a brief, frozen moment, the two tokotas went perfectly still as they locked eyes with the rabbit. Then, without an ounce of hesitation, Verum sprang forward.

Despite the strange things you’ve encountered so far on your journey, you decide that it’s never a bad time for a hungry tokota to hunt down a nice, fat rabbit! You make the leap toward the rabbit, practically tasting it on your tongue before you even make the kill.

The rabbit is quick, however, sensing your movement in an instant. It bolts off across the plateau at top speed. You pursue it, bounding through the snow effortlessly, almost forgetting that earlier that day, there was a storm brewing on the mountainside.

After a brief chase, you manage to successfully catch your quarry:

1x Grey Rabbit pelt has been added to your event inventory.

You take a moment to celebrate before you notice that the chase has led you into a grove of snow-covered pines. At its center, there is a strange rock formation that appears to be some sort of shrine.
