Star Tours opened on January 9th, 1987 in Disneyland. I chipped away at this illustration celebrating the grand opening featuring Mickey and George Lucas as they looked that day...but as a hologram from R2. I wanted it to feel like an original poster from the late 80's but also have a Star Tours Japan grand opening flair. Being a huge fan of both Star Wars and Disney, I couldn't wait to go on this ride....and I've loved it ever since....especially the day I rode it with my wife and son. May the 4th be with you!
