At first glance, my mind saw this as a ravine, rather than a bridge... I'm not sure why. The details in the white areas to the sides give it a wintery, dreamlike feeling, as does the unique colour scheme - it's not one I've seen often in fractal art. It'd be interesting to learn more about what you were thinking when you made it, as I like it a lot.

Sorry for the slow reply.Β
On thanksgiving, my mom went into the hospital with a high temp. They discovered her colon was decayed and she lost her colon. She was given a 25% survival rate. She was placed under a comma during all of this to help her body heal. However, due to her fever being so high for so long they didn't know if she would come back or if a vegetable would come back. 6 Months before this we lost our father as well. The stress of everything ate away at me, and this picture reflects some of that. The wintery world around the fractal represents the cold storm and the cold hospital floor that I Β many nights on. The ravine is the symbol of the depths of emotions I had during this time. It also represented the death that my mom was facing. The bridge is the area's that were connected represents the bridge from the complete destruction to a new life. It represented the struggling getting past the chaos that she was going through. The bridge also represented the emotions I had to get past to help my family. If you look closely you will see the golden dots throughout the piece. Those represent the call to jump off the bridge both my mom and I had to face. Multiple times throughout everything I thought of ending, but my wife and daughter kept me going. That day was the day we were told about the vegetable state she could be in. It's been a month now, and she is doing much better. She lost a leg and all of her colon. However, she will make it now. A new life awaits her, and me. When I am given a chance, I will sit down and create a fractal representing everything that I have been through the past year.Β

I still see it as a bridge from the unconscious comma to the real world.Β
