otherwise we would not have
the term
arts and crafts
so we can have
art without craft
and craft without art
so therefore
many people have
the wrong idea
about what an artist
is
they don't need
any craft
any skill
to make art
they can just make it
without technique
or design
or thought
and call it art
because it is
ART
this is an art website
not a craft site
it is not called deviantCRAFT
moreover
i suggest that art has changed in definition from:
being use of a skill to create something aesthetically pleasing
through being the use of creativity to express something or self
to being able to do anything that we wish, and calling it art
art is a a reflection of the relationship that humans have with themselves and their environment
and everything has changed from a society of a few people, with things to be done which were critcal to daily survival
through a society where people have time and the facility to contemplate their own existance and purpose
to ultimately one where there are too many people, and we must invent things for them to do
whatever next?
