ForI have always been a big fan or her work. She is amazing, so this is my attempt at sort of giving something back. Hope you like it.
This is a picture that I have been planning for a long time. I have only recently felt good enough to try it.
Here we have crazdudes character (the grey wolf), and my character Floyd (the black one) just basically having a good time and running in a field. Strange idea, but I wanted them to be having fun. The one in my head is way better, but I don't think this is too bad.
Looks stormy, doesn't it?
Both the wolves have things in common, anyway. Both have purple eyes and necklaces. Strange...

I have no idea, it was a while ago,not too long I don't think.
Underdrawing was prob a few hours, I remember the grey wolf being difficult for some reason, and the painting was prob a few hours too, I'm a slow worker ^^

Heya, sorry I haven't been around for so long.
Neway, I just used photoshop 7 for the whole thing. Grass was easy with the brush, and I just made random blobby things for the trees. Not as hard as it looks

Nice work on the form and proportions as always, I should really try doing backgrounds sometime, perhaps I'm too scared to try. Not my thing really, though I'd love to use that grass tool at some point.
My only suggestion is perhaps trying a shadow underneath the characters? Might give it a lil more depth and ensure they don't look like cut-outs. Blending a character with a scene is the hardest part, I think...

That OK about the silence - I get big artistic depressions quite alot - I'm on abit of a high at the moment though. Thank you for commenting. It really is great to hear your opinion on stuff
I was always scared of backgrounds, but the shortcuts I used just made it take longer and look crappier. I realised that in order to get the effect I wanted, I should really practice. But if I can get on without one, then I will do it plain. I know this background could use alot of improving (the trees/grass look abit too fake), but I suppose it is a step in the right direction.
I did consider doing shadows under them, but I wasn't entirely sure where my light source was (I think it is behind them somewhere..), and I didn't want it too be dark because the sun wasn't very bright. Plus I wasn't sure how to do shadows in long grass....
I did make the grass under them abit darker, but then I went and moved Floyd, so it isn't as noticablt anymore. I need to plan that abit more carefully next time.
Grass tool is quite fun - and very easy. It gets you alot of credit for not really doing anything

It took me a long time to get your wolf right - I had never realised how hard she was before 
I noticed the connection the first time I saw Craz. I am glad you like Floyd - I guess great minds think alike :W00T: hehe

It did take a while to do. I think the hardest was actually the face. But he wasn't nearly as hard as Craz Wolf was - I suppose it's because I am not used to drawing her... This pose was not what I was going to do, either, but I suppose it works out OK.
