Description A long time ago I made the doll of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's Le Petit Prince you can see on my avatar.
Last month I had a chance to revisit this character for a commission.

I offered to make him with the green clothes and bow tie that is usually associated (at least by me...) with the rose, but P. specifically requested a repeat version of the one in my avatar, so...

My question, too. Does he get a fox? Or a rose?

The buyer asked for a repeat version of my precious one and didn't request any other extras, so I'm afraid not.
But now I'm wondering how the hell would I make a fox if she had asked for it... :worried:

Have you ever done any needle felting? I've never tried it, but animals seem to work better than people.

I lose needles like it's nobody's business and it's by sheer luck alone that I've never seriously injured myself with the stray ones. The big prickly needles for felting scare me to no end...

But it is on my to-try-at-least-once list. I still have the wool from my sheep from last year and although most is reserved for when I try out spinning, some will be for needle and wet felting.

"Le Petit Prince" is one of my favourites books ans I'm a great fan of this little and so poetic prince (I also like the fox in this story).
The doll you made is really wonderful. Great job !

Thank you, dear!
I only read the book in my late twenties at insistence of a friend, but I must confess that, although some of the ideas in it are precious, I felt the whole mood of the book to be too "down" for it to be truly enjoyed.
