Here's the finished version of the Sea Dancers
Thanks a lot for your comments on the steps!!!It's part of a project about the 4 elements. This one is Water, I hope you'll like it!
Everything has been painted from scratch in photoshop CS. About 15 hours.

Have you changed the way you paint hair? It looks different than what I'm used to seeing from you somehow... I'm not sure if I like it. It seems so sharp and rough compared to the soft painterly skin. Or was the contrast intentional?
Never-the-less you are a phenominal artist and it is a beautiful piece of work.

I like the grainy texture. It makes it feel more surreal. The hair looks like a creature of it's own that moves by it's own motors and I like that you made individual scales. I always feel sad when artists opt out of the scales. I would imagine that the fins would be more fishlike and translucent with the colors behind it coming out more.
