Description ⭐Universe: Dimension ⭐

The Q'heth are a race of serpent men native to the desert lands of Soliga.

Long ago what would come to be known as the Q'heth were a very differant creature. Once they were a race of feathered serpents which traveled the cosmos, dancing between stars and planes unsknown. These serpents were the divine spawn of the god Hothilosβ€”a god of serpents whose children were made in his image, that of a winged and feathered serpent. At some point Hothilos gifted a number of his children new humanoid forms to be able to live as mortals do, giving them arms and legs where before they lacked, and sending them to live on Vir.

These serpent men would come to be known as the Q'heth and settled in the lands of Soliga. The lands of Soliga being grand deserts, glimmering coastlines, and tropical forests. There they built great kindoms of exotic beauty with glimmering cities and towering pyramids dotting the landscape. These pyramids serving as both temples to their many gods and foci for cosmic magic. Q'heth society is one of beauty, divine magic, grand learning, and mercantilism. These serpent men co-exist with a number of other races whom share in their rich culture. The human Tahneer and the cat-like Praakar, both living among their society and sharing a pantheon of gods. While the Q'heth have their own gods, the pantheons that hold influence in Soliga are less-so a Q'heth pantheon and moreso a Soligan pantheon. For Hothilos was so generous in his divinity, that he chose exceptional mortals from among the various races and peoples of Soliga and offered each a small spark of his divinity. Those that were chosen and accepted were made demi-gods who now unify Soliga's diverse people as their shared pantheon. Though it is Hothilos that stands at the head of it, and is the most revered especially among his Q'heth children.

The Q'heth themselves are a diverse race, varying in appearance with many having unique features and shapes. Most Q'heth are humanoid in appearance resembling men and women with the head of a serpent. Their bodies are covered in scales of various unique patterns and all colors. Some have tails, whilst others do not. Though the god of magic Ithenthu gifted the Q'heth with the knowledge of changing and altering their forms to more closely resemble their ancient divine ancestors. It was due to this that Q'heth sorcerers, priests, and those simply skilled enough were able to magically alter their forms. This lead to the introduction of new unique form and features, over the newer generations. These features include longer limbs, longer more serpentine necks, feathers on on the head and other parts of the body, a more naga-esque appearance with a tail in place of legs, and even allowing some to sport a pair of feathered wings.

Interestingly, following the example of their winged serpent ancestors, some powerful Q'heth magi and sorcerers commonly travel the cosmos like their cosmic precursors, visiting strange new worlds and realms. There are even whispers of other worlds now inhabited by growing colonies of Q'heth forming as offshoots of cosmic travelers. Though despite these tales, many Q'heth are content to reside on the familiar world of Vir and the welcoming sands of Soliga.

-----
One of the major races on Vir. These were absolute hell to get the AI to make due to the fact that the tails kept coming out wonky, usually having multiple tails, disembodied tails, tails melting into legs, etc. So some of these might obviously have weird tails. Was actually trying to get no tail in some of these, but AI insisted on adding them anyway.
