had to have been a double exposure. My photography teacher taught us how to make ghostly appearances in film

And those highlights/fog on the bottom portion probably is the fault of lab developer. And I must say thanks for this failure, because it enhances this photo so well!

haha maybe the foggyness was intentional haha

No. The laboratory guy must have exposed the film to light uppon loading into development tank or something. Because half of that film is foggy in lower portions. Some frames have even perforation burned uppon them. So, exposure to the light uppon development. In this frame it enhances the picture. In other frames - destroys everything.

I know light destroys photos >.> I'm not an idiot. I said I was in B&W film class. Don't preach to me about photography methods.

That absolutely was not what I intended.

In fact it is a single exposure of that room, pigeon and that humanoid figure which made itself from construction PVC, blown in wind.
First I shat my pants and thought, that it is a ghost of some kind. So I had to backtrack. And I found, that it is a construction PVC. Creepy.

oooh, okay. haha xD
someday I'm gonna attempt a ghost-photograph with double exposure to see if it's really possible like my teacher told us

You can always do it by the easiest way (imho): long exposures. Like in this photo: [link]

the easiest way for me is to do as much as possible in-camera. Because I'm a photographer

Yup, long and double exposures is the way to make some ghosts on film/sensors

Wow, that is fucking crazy. Was there any photoshop work done on this? Is that really what's going on?! I'm sorry to ask, but this image is just so intriguingly creepy.

Disfigurator In reply to SoulDuals [2010-12-28 14:34:51 +0000 UTC]

No, no photoshop. Just traditional BW film photography.

And thanks!

I know xD do you know more ambient like that piece? With such haunting feel, samples and stuff..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Disfigurator In reply to cikarda [2010-11-25 12:33:42 +0000 UTC]

Actually I have. But it depends on how ambient do you want it.
In my Winamp's library I tend to update bands with comments - like if I hear and recognise some sample, I write it into some id3 field so I could find it later. So, here be screenshot of a Winamp list (sorted by genre, artists and albums): [link]

It is, yes. From Russia. And uses SH samples quite cleverly.

And there is a russian SH collective (as Broken Notes): [link] But I don't enjoy them nearly as much as Broken Notes. So, I deleted them from HDD and library.

I never delete any music xD cause after time I usually begin to long for it xD this principe helped me to collect few hundreds gigs of music xD
And I know liminality too xD downloaded almost everything from that site xD

I delete my music based on: 1) taste; 2) play count; 3) age in library; 4) ratings.

Small HDD and for the sake of library, consisting only of songs I really like.

Only the best.
