The Codex of the Celestial Inferno is an ancient and powerful artifact, its origins lost to time. Legends speak of it being crafted in the heart of a star, penned by the hand of a god of knowledge and destruction. Its pages, bound in celestial hide, are said to contain the secrets of suns—both their life-giving warmth and their potential for incinerating wrath.

Properties of the Codex of the Celestial Inferno:
Sunfire Scripture: The wielder can cast spells with the fire descriptor at one spell level higher than the slot expended.
Starcaller's Blessing: Once per week, the user may call down a column of celestial fire, similar to the flame strike spell, without using a spell slot.
Celestial Illumination: By reading the Codex at dawn, the user can bathe an area in daylight as the daylight spell, which lasts until the next dawn.

Curse of the Codex of the Celestial Inferno:
Starfire’s Demand: Each time a spell from the Codex is cast, the flames demand tribute. The user must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or take 2d6 fire damage that can't be resisted or reduced in any way.
Solar Obsession: The user becomes infatuated with the power of the sun. After using the Codex, they must pass a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or be compelled to observe the sun directly for long periods, risking blindness.
Infernal Radiance: The divine fire within the Codex can be overwhelming. After invoking Starcaller's Blessing, the user emits bright light for 30 feet and dim light for an additional 30 feet. This effect lasts for 24 hours and can attract unwanted attention.

Use in Campaign: The Codex of the Celestial Inferno could be at the heart of a quest to stop a cataclysmic event prophesied to end worlds. It could serve as a powerful beacon of hope or a devastating weapon.
